Congrads Usain Bolt
Usain Bolt easily completed his 100 and 200 metres double at the Jamaican Olympic trials Sunday by winning the longer dash in a time of 19.97 seconds.
He finished a full two-tenths of a second ahead of Marvin Anderson, with Christopher Williams claiming the final Olympic place in a time of 20.20.
Yesterday Bolt defeated former world 100 metres record holder Asafa Powell to win that race in a time of 9.85 seconds. He has not yet decided if he will contest both events in Beijing.
Veronica Campbell-Brown ran the year's fastest 200 metres to win the women's event at Kingston's National Stadium.
Her time of 21.94 gave her the victory over Kerron Stewart who won the 100 metres final yesterday. Stewart ran 21.99 for second place with Sherone Simpson third in 22.11.
For Campbell-Brown it was a redemption of sorts. She finished a disappointing fourth in yesterday's 100 metres final and failed to win a place in that event despite equaling her season best performance of 10.88. A year ago she won the IAAF world championships at the shorter distance.
Stewart won the 100 metres in a world leading time of 10.80 seconds and will likely attempt the double in Beijing.
In the women's 100-metre hurdles Bridgette Foster-Hylton ran the second fastest time in the world this year, 12.50 seconds, for the victory ahead of Delloreen Ennis-London's 12.57(CNN)
